Worked on migrating the base_model_restrict_update module within the OCA/server-tools repository to ensure compatibility with Odoo 16.0. Focused on updating both the documentation and manifest files, aligning them with the new framework requirements while preserving the module’s core restriction functionality. Used Python and HTML to adapt the codebase and documentation, reducing upgrade risks for downstream deployments. The approach emphasized stability and future-proofing by introducing migration-friendly scaffolding and clear upgrade notes. No major bugs were reported or fixed during this period, as the primary effort centered on seamless module migration and maintaining reliable operation within the updated Odoo environment.
