Noel developed BGP set-nexthop-peer support for the Vibhu-gslab/avd repository’s EOS CLI configuration generator, enabling advanced BGP peering scenarios through new parameters and options for next-hop peer settings. Using Python, Jinja2, and YAML, Noel integrated these enhancements into the existing Ansible-driven workflow, ensuring compatibility and no regressions with current network automation processes. The implementation maintained clear traceability by referencing the relevant ticket and providing a descriptive commit. This work deepened the repository’s BGP configuration capabilities, allowing network engineers to define more granular peering behaviors and supporting more complex network engineering requirements within automated deployment pipelines.
