During May 2025, Notque addressed a macOS compatibility issue in the sapcc/go-makefile-maker repository by refining how dependency information is captured for the go-licence-detector tool. Instead of relying on direct stdout redirection, which proved unreliable on macOS, Notque implemented a solution using temporary files to handle output and subsequent parsing. This approach preserved the original functionality while ensuring consistent behavior across platforms and improving CI reliability. The work involved command execution, file I/O, and shell scripting, primarily using Go and Shell. Notque’s targeted fix demonstrated a focused understanding of cross-platform challenges and maintained seamless user experience throughout.
