In August 2025, Noureldin Bayoumi expanded the rwth-i6/i6_experiments repository by delivering a comprehensive end-to-end automatic speech recognition framework. He introduced phoneme transformation job definitions and enabled support for multiple model architectures, including CTC, hybrid, and transducer approaches. Using Python and PyTorch, Noureldin integrated Conformer blocks, VGG frontends, and SpecAugment into a unified training pipeline, facilitating rapid experimentation across ASR models. His work focused on model architecture design, module integration, and data augmentation, resulting in a reproducible change-set that broadens research-to-production enablement and strengthens the foundation for scalable, production-ready speech recognition systems within the project.

In August 2025, delivered a major feature expansion for end-to-end ASR in rwth-i6/i6_experiments. Introduced phoneme transformation job definitions and multi-architecture model support (CTC, hybrid, transducer), integrating core PyTorch components (Conformer blocks, VGG frontends, SpecAugment) and defining model definitions and training steps. This work enables broader end-to-end speech recognition capabilities, accelerates experimentation across architectures, and strengthens the path to production-ready models.
