Nikos Petridis developed an AWS Cognito-based authentication provider for the Gamma Prime zklogin system in the MystenLabs/sui repository, enabling AWS-based user authentication and multi-tenant onboarding on the Sui devnet. He updated configuration files and the keytool to support OIDC URL generation, aligning the authentication flow with AWS Cognito standards. Working primarily in Rust, Nikos conducted thorough end-to-end testing using valid prover JWTs and verified successful localnet transactions, ensuring the feature’s security and reliability. He also prepared detailed release notes and mapped user-facing impacts across Protocol, Nodes, gRPC, JSON-RPC, CLI, and the Rust SDK to support rollout.
