Developed enhanced taxonomy filtering for the Query Loop block in the peterwilsoncc/wordpress-develop repository, enabling include and exclude term filtering within the TaxQuery structure. This work involved updating the server-side query builder in PHP to support both legacy and new taxQuery formats, ensuring compatibility with existing content filters and improving the editor user experience. Collaborated closely with multiple contributors to review and finalize the changes, demonstrating effective cross-team communication. Focused on back end development within the WordPress ecosystem, the implementation addressed a compatibility issue and provided more granular content targeting for users managing complex taxonomy queries.
