
Developed a new INSTANT_ALWAYS sensor type for the Fmstrat/esphome alarm system, enabling sensors to trigger alarms immediately, even when the system is disarmed. This work involved updating both configuration options and core logic to ensure that activation of these sensors results in an immediate alarm state, thereby improving security responsiveness and reducing the risk of missed alerts. The implementation was validated through integration testing within the repository, focusing on reliability and alert latency. Leveraged expertise in embedded systems, firmware development, and alarm systems, utilizing C++ and Python to deliver robust functionality tailored to real-time security requirements in embedded environments.
