Worked on the preset-io/superset repository to implement StarRocks catalog and schema management within the database connection URI, enabling users to specify catalogs and schemas directly in connection strings. Leveraging Python and SQLAlchemy, the solution updated engine specifications to support dynamic handling of catalogs and schemas, streamlining configuration for multi-tenant StarRocks deployments. This approach reduced friction in deployment and allowed for more flexible database interactions by minimizing manual configuration steps. The work focused on database management and unit testing to ensure robust integration, ultimately enhancing the adaptability of Superset for organizations managing complex, multi-tenant data workflows with StarRocks.
