
Worked on the umap-project/umap repository to enhance deployment and release processes by introducing secret-driven configuration and automated Helm chart publishing. Developed features that allow UMAP deployments to reference Kubernetes secrets or external secret stores such as Vault, updating deployment and secret templates to support configurable secret names. Automated the Helm chart release workflow using GitHub Actions, enabling charts to be published to GitHub Pages on main branch pushes. These improvements, implemented primarily with YAML and leveraging CI/CD practices, increased deployment security, reduced manual release steps, and standardized configuration management for more consistent and efficient application delivery in Kubernetes environments.
