Olecsiuyae developed two backend features for DefiLlama’s dimension-adapters and DefiLlama-Adapters repositories, focusing on expanding data coverage for Nest-based DeFi protocols. They engineered a DEX dashboard protocol adapter and a Hyperliquid adapter, integrating Blaze and Fenix APIs to fetch and aggregate trading volume and fee data. Using Node.js and TypeScript, Olecsiuyae established a reusable adapter pattern that streamlines future protocol integrations and enhances dashboard reliability. Their work emphasized robust API development, data fetching, and error handling, resulting in more accurate and comprehensive dashboards. Over the month, Olecsiuyae demonstrated depth in backend engineering and effective integration of external data sources.
