Worked on the PowerPixel repository to deliver three core frontend features focused on accessibility, responsive design, and modular architecture. Developed a redesigned footer component using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enhancing accessibility with improved structure, title attributes, and updated layout. Built a reusable API service layer leveraging Axios for handling subscriptions and exercise data, integrating robust error handling and seamless UI feedback. Refined responsive UI behavior to ensure consistent container sizing across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. These efforts consolidated UI and API layers, improved onboarding and engagement readiness, and reduced post-release QA time by stabilizing the user experience and data flows.
January 2025 (Kate2603/PowerPixel): Delivered core UI and data capabilities with a focus on accessibility, responsive UX, and reliable data flows. Key features include a redesigned footer with accessibility enhancements and updated layout, a reusable API service layer for subscriptions and exercise data (with error handling and UI integration), and responsive UI refinements to ensure consistent behavior across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Minor UI fixes (tab layout, borders) were completed to stabilize the user experience. Business impact: improves onboarding and engagement readiness, accelerates data-driven features, and reduces post-release QA time by consolidating UI and API layers into cohesive modules. Technologies demonstrated include frontend component architecture, modular API design, accessibility best practices, and responsive design.
