Worked on the nestjs/nest repository to enhance the reliability of gRPC-based microservices by implementing server-side keepalive support. Developed a new API that allows dynamic retrieval of gRPC keepalive options, enabling configuration changes without requiring redeployment. Integrated these options directly into the server configuration, which improved the stability of long-lived gRPC connections. The work focused on maintainable TypeScript code, with careful attention to isolating new features and refining server configuration paths. Leveraged expertise in TypeScript, gRPC, and microservices architecture to address connection stability challenges, delivering a targeted feature that supports more robust and flexible server-side communication in distributed systems.
