Developed hardware support for the MikroTik RouterBOARD 960PGS within the namiltd/openwrt repository, enabling OpenWrt compatibility for multi-port Ethernet and PoE-enabled routing devices. Focused on Linux kernel development and embedded systems, the work involved integrating ATH79 platform support, mapping hardware profiles, and handling PoE features. Firmware development was carried out in C and Makefile, with careful attention to upstreamable changes and platform readiness. The process included documenting a recommended flashing path to streamline installation and upgrades, ensuring clear guidance for users. This contribution enhanced device compatibility and accelerated deployment for OpenWrt users requiring robust routing and power delivery features.
