
Worked on the Ultimagen/ugbio-utils repository to enhance the SRSNV training pipeline and reporting tools for bioinformatics workflows. Refactored the pipeline in Python and Shell to support new data formats, remove deprecated code, and adjust SNVQ prefactor calculations, improving robustness and maintainability. Updated reporting features by correcting legacy end_unreached values and revising charts to display true positive and false positive distributions, clarifying data interpretation. Expanded and refined unit tests for trinucleotide histogram plotting using Matplotlib, removing outdated cases and broadening coverage. These efforts reduced technical debt, improved data quality, and strengthened test reliability for safer, faster future development.
