Worked on the chaotic-cx/nyx repository to simplify Mesa GBM configuration by removing custom GBM patches and backend-specific settings from the mesa-git package. This approach relied on upstream defaults, reducing the patch surface and minimizing divergence from upstream Mesa, which in turn lowered maintenance risk and improved deployment reliability. The work focused on package management and system configuration using Nix, with attention to patch management and the Linux graphics stack. By aligning mesa-git more closely with upstream changes, the configuration became easier to maintain and onboard, supporting more consistent and reliable deployments without introducing new bugs during the development period.
