Worked on the deckhouse/deckhouse repository to deliver two high-impact features focused on Kubernetes autoscaling and resource management. Developed in Go, the work included implementing Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA) in-place updates under a minimum-replica safeguard, allowing VPA recommendations to be applied without triggering unnecessary pod evictions when live pods are below the minimum replica count. Additionally, extended Cluster Autoscaler support to Kubernetes versions 1.33 and 1.34, introducing improved DaemonSet handling and machine deletion priorities. These enhancements optimized autoscaling behavior and maintained high availability, leveraging expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Go to ensure maintainability and forward compatibility.
