During August 2025, Ad focused on enhancing the reliability and observability of the alibaba/loongsuite-python-agent repository by refactoring its FastAPI middleware stack. Using Python and leveraging FastAPI and OpenTelemetry, Ad engineered a failsafe instrumentor middleware that gracefully handles exceptions and ensures all errors are accurately captured in tracing spans. The implementation included comprehensive end-to-end tests to validate error handling and HTTP status code recording, along with updates to developer documentation and the project changelog. This work improved production stability by reducing false positives in tracing and enabled faster incident diagnosis through more robust backend instrumentation and traceability.
