Worked on the tigera/operator repository to implement product-variant support for the Linseed deployment, focusing on multi-tenant reliability and alignment with licensing tiers. Introduced an environment variable to drive API behavior based on each tenant’s managed cluster variant, using Go for development and Kubernetes for deployment orchestration. The approach included gating APIs not available in the free tier, reducing the risk of misconfiguration and minimizing unnecessary surface area. Comprehensive tests were added to verify correct behavior across product variants and ensure graceful handling when the variant was unspecified. This work established a foundation for consistent, reliable behavior across tenants and product tiers.
