Worked on a core rewrite of Lazap within the zed-industries/winget-pkgs repository, focusing on enhancing performance and stability for software distribution workflows. The project involved reimplementing the core logic in C++ and updating installation manifests written in YAML to support the new architecture. This release, Lazap 0.10.0, enabled faster and more reliable deployments, streamlining the upgrade path for users and laying the foundation for future optimizations. The work demonstrated proficiency in C++ development, package management, and the use of declarative configuration languages, delivering a single feature that improved the maintainability and efficiency of the deployment process.
