Worked on the faucetsdn/udmi repository to enhance backend functionality and modernize build processes. Developed a new getScanDuration method within the DiscoveryManager API, enabling retrieval of scan durations for each device family with a safe default fallback, which improves device-scan observability and aids troubleshooting. Updated the Gradle build configuration to support Java 17, removing legacy JAVA_HOME exports and aligning the project with current enterprise standards. Leveraged Java, Gradle, and Shell scripting to deliver these features, resulting in improved runtime compatibility, streamlined developer experience, and easier long-term maintenance. The work focused on robust backend development and sustainable build configuration practices.
