Over a two-month period, Panoel contributed to the wormhole-foundation/native-token-transfers and wormhole-foundation/wormhole repositories, focusing on backend and distributed systems engineering. He integrated Mezo Testnet support into NttWithExecutor, enabling native token transfers for Mezo users while maintaining existing functionality and improving code maintainability through formatting cleanup. In the wormhole repository, he implemented VAA timestamp tracking in node heartbeats for enhanced network observability and updated Solana RPC migration documentation. Panoel also resolved a bug in the EVM watcher’s consistency level handling. His work utilized Go, TypeScript, and Protocol Buffers, demonstrating depth in protocol design and cross-chain infrastructure.
