Worked on stabilizing Combobox interactions within the smeup/ketchup repository, focusing on improving user interface reliability and data integrity. Addressed a bug where kupClick and kupIconClick events were emitted multiple times during the initial render by introducing a private componentTriggered flag, ensuring these events fire only once. This change eliminated redundant event triggers, resulting in more accurate analytics and a smoother user experience. The work was carried out using TypeScript and centered on frontend development with web components. By refining event handling logic, the developer provided a cleaner baseline for future enhancements and reduced the risk of unintended side effects.
