During January 2025, Parth Arora enhanced the Xilinx/llvm-aie repository by expanding the LLD ELF linker script parser to support the unary plus operator, aligning its behavior more closely with GNU ld. Working primarily in C++ and leveraging expertise in compiler development and linker scripting, Parth updated the parser to correctly interpret unary plus in linker script expressions, thereby improving compatibility and build reliability across environments. The implementation included the creation and validation of new tests to ensure robust handling of the updated syntax. This work deepened the parser’s capabilities and contributed to more flexible and reliable linker script processing.
