During December 2024, Pastor contributed to the OpenRefine/OpenRefine repository by updating Spanish localization for operation descriptions, focusing on enhancing accessibility for Spanish-speaking users. The work involved adding a new translation key, ‘recon_match_specific_topic_brief,’ to improve the clarity of UI guidance related to matching specific topics with cells in a column. Pastor utilized properties files and the Weblate platform to manage translations, ensuring alignment with the project’s internationalization and localization standards. This update advanced translation coverage to 54.8% for the relevant string set. The contribution addressed usability for a broader audience, though the scope was limited to one feature.
