Arjav Patel developed Erlang Thrift annotations and integrated Erlang support into the fbthrift repository, focusing on backend development with Erlang, Rust, and Thrift. He created a dedicated Thrift file to centralize Erlang-specific annotations, improving organization and maintainability. By updating Cargo.toml files across the codebase, Arjav enabled dependency management for Erlang, laying the groundwork for cross-language interoperability. This work allows fbthrift to better support Erlang-based services and facilitates integration with existing Thrift infrastructure. The project addressed the need for clearer annotation management and dependency integration, demonstrating a focused approach to enabling broader adoption of Erlang within the Thrift ecosystem.
