During the month, contributed to the facebook/fbthrift repository by implementing Erlang Thrift annotations and integrating Erlang support into the dependency management system. This work involved creating a dedicated Erlang annotations Thrift file to centralize Erlang-specific metadata, as well as updating Cargo.toml files to ensure seamless inclusion of Erlang dependencies. By consolidating these annotations, the changes established a foundation for cross-language interoperability and enabled smoother integration of Thrift with Erlang-based backend services. The project leveraged expertise in Erlang, Rust, and Thrift, focusing on backend development and laying groundwork for broader adoption of Erlang within existing Thrift service architectures.
