Worked on the flutter/flutter repository to deliver a keyboard-aware overlay and menu system that improves user interface reliability when the on-screen keyboard is active. Using Dart and Flutter, implemented propagation of MediaQueryData to OverlayPortal and adjusted overlay constraints to account for viewInsets, ensuring overlays and menus remain visible and are not obscured by the keyboard. Developed and maintained comprehensive widget tests, including regression tests to validate that menus do not extend into the keyboard area. Emphasized quality by following pre-launch checklists and adhering to Flutter’s tree hygiene and breaking-change policies, contributing to maintainable and robust UI development practices.
