During July 2025, contributed to the mongodb-forks/community-operators repository by developing a new Custom Resource Definition (CRD) for managing Splunk Search Head Clusters within the Splunk Operator. Focused on declarative lifecycle management, the work involved updating existing CRDs to support enhanced features and configurations for various Splunk components, enabling more consistent deployments and streamlined scaling. Leveraged Kubernetes, Operator SDK, and yaml to ensure release readiness for operator version 2.8.1, prioritizing feature delivery over bug fixes. These changes improved onboarding speed and operational reliability for Splunk deployments by allowing users to declaratively manage and update Search Head Clusters and related resources.
