Worked on the storybookjs/storybook repository, focusing on enhancing the stability and usability of the tabbed interface within addon-docs. Delivered a targeted bug fix that preserves input focus when switching between tabs, directly improving editing workflows and accessibility for users interacting with controls. The solution involved careful management of focus state in a React environment, utilizing JavaScript and TypeScript to ensure that input fields retain focus across tab changes. This work was scoped to the tabbed UI, minimizing regression risk while addressing a key usability issue. The result is a smoother developer experience and more accessible documentation editing in Storybook.
