June 2025 monthly summary: Delivered performance and reliability enhancements across core repositories. In supabase/supabase, we delivered CI/CD Build Performance Enhancement by switching to a group of larger GitHub Actions runners, cutting unit-test and type-check build times. In supabase/postgres, we implemented PostgreSQL 16+ Upgrade Role Query Enablement to allow alter role queries after upgrades and grant necessary privileges to the postgres user, guarded by server version >= 16 to ensure post-upgrade capabilities relying on role data are available. These workstreams together improve developer feedback cycles, reduce upgrade risk, and strengthen the reliability of upgrade paths. Technologies demonstrated include GitHub Actions runner orchestration, CI/CD optimization, PostgreSQL upgrade handling, role/privilege management, and version gating; the work reflects cross-repo collaboration and a focus on delivering business value through faster builds and safer upgrades.

March 2025 monthly summary focusing on key accomplishments across the two primary repos (supabase/supabase and supabase/postgres). Key work highlights include standardizing production AWS region defaults to reduce environment drift and improve deployment reliability, and enhancing migration tooling/CI-CD for production migrations with clarified workflows and initialization sequencing. A targeted bug fix related to event trigger ownership was also reverted to restore correct behavior, reflecting careful rollback in response to downstream impact. Overall, these efforts improve deployment stability, cross-region performance, and release safety.
