Worked on stabilizing the Flagsmith provider within the open-feature/java-sdk-contrib repository, focusing on improving reliability during redeployments and shutdowns. Addressed a critical bug by implementing robust error handling and resource management in Java, ensuring the Flagsmith client is properly closed when the provider shuts down. This approach prevented resource leaks and reduced runtime errors, directly enhancing the stability of production deployments. Added detailed shutdown logging to improve observability and facilitate troubleshooting during maintenance. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to provider development, prioritizing operational risk reduction and maintainability through careful management of client lifecycle and system resources.
