Worked on the duckdb/community-extensions repository to develop and enhance the spxlsx extension, enabling direct SQL querying of SharePoint lists and Excel workbooks from DuckDB. Focused on C++ and SQL for extension development, the work included implementing authentication, data reading, and Excel file downloads to streamline data integration workflows. Improved the CI pipeline by retriggering builds and tests, ensuring reliability and up-to-date validation. Released version 0.1.2 of the extension, which enhanced query capabilities and supported reproducible builds. Prioritized maintainability and onboarding by introducing descriptor-based packaging, facilitating easier contribution and discovery within the DuckDB extension ecosystem over a two-month period.
