During December 2025, Paul Chevilley focused on stabilizing schema metadata handling across the botpress/botpress and botpress/packages repositories. He addressed two bugs where schema descriptions were lost during conversion to Zui primitives, ensuring that descriptive metadata is now preserved throughout the process. Working primarily with TypeScript, schema design, and unit testing, Paul validated that generated schemas retain clarity and usability for downstream consumers. His efforts aligned metadata handling across multiple repositories, reducing the risk of information loss and improving cross-repo consistency. While no new features were shipped, his work deepened the reliability and maintainability of schema validation within the codebase.
