Worked on enhancing packaging and dependency management for the bioconda/bioconda-recipes repository, focusing on the vcf2tsvpy tool. Delivered the 0.6.2 release by updating packaging metadata and introducing build.run_exports to stabilize downstream installations and improve reproducibility in both CI and user environments. Added setuptools to the host requirements, which improved build isolation and compatibility across various conda environments. The work leveraged Python and YAML, emphasizing robust dependency resolution and package management practices. No customer-facing bug fixes were reported during this period, with efforts concentrated on enabling smoother downstream usage and ensuring stable, reproducible builds for the community.
