Alexander Schurman developed secure REST Client SSL KeyStore support for the pentaho/pentaho-kettle repository, enabling TLS-enabled REST connections through custom KeyStore and trust store configurations. Using Java and focusing on REST API development and security configuration, he addressed the need for robust SSL handling by implementing KeyStore-based SSL configuration across REST interactions. This work included fixing the REST Client Step KeyStore functionality, which improved the reliability of secure external REST calls and reduced certificate-related risks. By linking Jira issues directly to code commits, Alexander ensured strong traceability, supporting governance and audit requirements while enhancing enterprise readiness for external integrations.
