Developed and delivered Secure REST Client SSL KeyStore Support for the pentaho/pentaho-kettle repository, enabling TLS-enabled REST connections through custom KeyStore and trust store configurations. This work involved implementing Java-based enhancements to the REST API client, allowing for secure external integrations and reducing certificate-related risks. The update addressed previous issues with the REST Client Step KeyStore functionality, improving the reliability of secure REST interactions. By focusing on security configuration and traceable Jira-to-commit linkage, the developer strengthened the project’s enterprise readiness and auditability. The contribution demonstrates depth in Java, REST API development, and security configuration within a complex integration environment.
