During November 2024, Yu Chien Peter Lin managed a critical maintainer handover for the Andes platform in the OpenXiangShan/buildroot repository. He updated documentation and ownership records to reflect the transition, ensuring accurate contact information and supporting ongoing platform maintenance. Lin approached the task with a single, targeted Shell commit, minimizing risk and surface area while enhancing maintainability. His work focused on documentation management, streamlining the onboarding process for the new maintainer and improving incident response readiness. Although the scope was narrow, the update addressed a key operational need, supporting future collaboration and ensuring continuity for the Andes platform’s stewardship.
