Worked on reliability improvements for the Zitadel charts stack, focusing on resolving deployment issues in Kubernetes environments. Addressed a critical bug in the zitadel/zitadel-charts repository by correcting a nil pointer exception in the Helm chart’s initContainers reference. This fix ensured that debug initContainers were accessed correctly, preventing deployment failures and enabling stable rollouts without requiring downstream changes. Released a patch version to deliver the solution immediately across environments. The work involved deep familiarity with DevOps practices, Helm chart templating, and YAML configuration, demonstrating a methodical approach to troubleshooting and maintaining infrastructure-as-code for cloud-native deployments.
