Developed foundational Protobuf definitions for the Trace Data Retrieval API within the getsentry/sentry-protos repository, focusing on the new GetTraces endpoint. This work established a proto schema that supports attribute-based querying, ordering, and filtering, enabling scalable and flexible trace data retrieval workflows for downstream systems. Leveraging expertise in API development and Protocol Buffers, the implementation adhered to EAP guidelines and commit conventions to ensure consistency and discoverability across the codebase. The contribution laid the groundwork for analytical capabilities by defining a clear proto surface, facilitating future enhancements and integrations for trace data analysis without addressing bug fixes during this period.
