Worked on the argoproj/argo-cd repository to deliver standardized metadata labeling for all NetworkPolicy resources across core Argo CD components. Leveraging DevOps practices and Kubernetes expertise, implemented a unified labeling approach using YAML to ensure consistent application of labels such as application name, part of, and component. This centralized update, applied to controllers and services including application-controller, applicationset-controller, commit-server, dex-server, redis, and repo-server, reduced manual configuration and minimized the risk of labeling drift. The work improved policy governance, streamlined auditing processes, and enhanced automation readiness, ultimately strengthening both the security posture and operational efficiency of the deployment.
