During November 2025, Phygon contributed to the FFmpeg/FFmpeg repository by expanding hardware compatibility for DeckLink devices. They focused on stabilizing cross-version integration, implementing QueryInterface and legacy interfaces to support both DeckLink SDK 14.3 and earlier versions. This work, carried out in C++ with an emphasis on API and driver integration, enabled seamless playback and device interoperability across a range of operating systems and driver combinations. By addressing compatibility challenges, Phygon reduced integration risks for users relying on DeckLink hardware. The depth of the work lay in ensuring robust video processing and reliable device support within the FFmpeg decklink backend.
