Worked on the cloudnative-pg/charts repository to deliver OpenShift Deployment Schema Compatibility by updating deployment schemas for better alignment with OpenShift requirements. The main engineering effort involved removing the runAsUser and runAsGroup fields from the schema, which improved both compatibility and security for OpenShift-based deployments. This change required careful consideration of Kubernetes and OpenShift schema design, as well as adherence to RBAC and contribution governance standards. The work was implemented using JSON and demonstrated a focus on code quality and maintainability. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus remained on feature delivery and deployment reliability.
