During April 2025, Pierre Augier enhanced the prefix-dev/pixi repository by developing a wget-based installation method with a curl fallback, addressing the needs of users in environments where curl is unavailable. He focused on improving onboarding by updating the project’s documentation, using Markdown to clearly illustrate the new wget installation process with practical code examples. This work demonstrated attention to cross-environment compatibility and installation user experience, ensuring a seamless transition for both wget and curl users. While no bugs were fixed during this period, Pierre’s contributions centered on documentation quality and shell-based installation workflows, broadening accessibility and supporting consistent installer usage.
