Over a two-month period, contributed to the esbmc/esbmc repository by developing formal verification tools for industrial automation, focusing on IEC 61131-3 Ladder Diagram programs. Expanded verification capabilities using C++ and Python, integrating real-world CONTROLLINO PLC benchmarks and a graphical frontend with PLCopen XML parsing. Enhanced cross-version Clang compatibility and improved the LD frontend to support user-defined function blocks, analog types, and Structured Text translation. Additionally, unified ESBMC-PLC branding across documentation and planning artifacts, streamlining onboarding and external communication. The work emphasized API compatibility, model checking, and documentation quality, resulting in safer PLC software and faster verification feedback for industrial users.
July 2026: ESBMC-PLC branding consolidation across the esbmc/esbmc repository documentation and planning artifacts, aligning naming in the README, implementation plan docs, and property specification format. Three commits updated branding to ESBMC-PLC across frontend naming and docs, reducing ambiguity and enabling consistent external communications. No major bugs fixed this month; the focus was on documentation hygiene and onboarding readiness. This work demonstrates branding discipline, cross-file coordination, and documentation quality improvements.
