During September 2025, Pilgd developed real-time collaboration capabilities for SageMaker by enabling the JupyterLab docprovider extension within the aws/sagemaker-distribution repository. This work involved integrating Jupyter and SageMaker, leveraging Shell scripting and DevOps practices to enhance the reliability and user experience of collaborative data science workflows. Pilgd addressed critical issues in JupyterLab’s real-time collaboration for SMD v3.0.0 and above, resulting in faster review cycles and reduced coordination overhead for users. The solution improved the stability of shared editing sessions, demonstrating a solid understanding of cloud computing environments and extension development while delivering tangible business value for SageMaker workloads.
