Worked on the fledge-iot/fledge repository to centralize plugin discovery, focusing on improving reliability and consistency in service interactions. Developed a feature that fetches plugins directly using the notification service’s IP and port, unifying the plugin retrieval process across components and reducing configuration drift. The implementation leveraged Python for backend development and emphasized robust API integration and service discovery practices. Unit tests were updated to cover the new discovery flow, ensuring regression safety and maintainability. Documentation and onboarding materials were revised to reflect these changes, supporting future maintainers and streamlining the integration of new services within the existing architecture.
