Developed a platform-aware image file filter for the nautobot/nautobot repository, enabling software image files to be filtered by the platform derived from their version. This feature was implemented using Django and Python, with a focus on backend development and robust filtering logic. The work included updating and expanding the test suite to ensure the new filter’s reliability and maintainability, supporting more accurate asset discovery and management based on platform and version. Collaboration with other contributors was integral to the process, and the changes emphasized business value by improving the efficiency of platform-specific asset management within the application’s backend.
