Worked on stabilizing user-facing email notifications in the RIPE-NCC/whois repository by updating the key-cert lookup URL to use a new query interface. This backend development effort involved modifying Java and Velocity templates to ensure continued access to PGP and X509 key contact details following external API changes. The update improved the reliability of notification emails, reducing lookup failures and potential support requests. Careful configuration management was demonstrated through a targeted, traceable commit, aligning email templates with the latest API standards. The work focused on maintaining end-to-end reliability for users retrieving cryptographic contact information through automated notifications.
