Praveen Kylasam focused on enhancing the onboarding experience for the Kai VSCode Extension in the konveyor/kai repository by developing a comprehensive Getting Started Guide. He used Markdown and technical writing skills to create detailed documentation that included prerequisites, configuration steps, and end-to-end usage instructions for analysis and fixes. To further support new users, he integrated images and a video walkthrough, making the onboarding process more accessible and reducing the time required to become productive. This work addressed the need for clearer developer-facing documentation, improved user adoption, and helped minimize support overhead by providing thorough, multimedia-rich onboarding materials.
