Contributed targeted enhancements to the openemr/openemr repository by improving the rule engine’s ability to accurately target and execute actions within automated clinical workflows. Focused on backend development using PHP and object-oriented programming, the work involved adding missing properties to the RuleLibrary and correcting method calls in the RuleManager. These changes improved the accuracy of rule evaluation and action routing, reducing the risk of misrouted actions and supporting compliance-related automation. The codebase was made more maintainable through careful refactoring and clearer API usage, with commit-level documentation ensuring traceability for audits and streamlined issue tracking throughout the development process.
