Worked on enhancing the tag creation workflow in the thibmaek/TagStudio repository, focusing on improving user experience and data quality. Developed a feature in Python using PySide6 for frontend and UI development that pre-selects the default tag name and enforces non-blank tag names within the BuildTagPanel. This approach automatically highlights the tag name field and prevents the creation of empty or invalid tags, streamlining the process for users and ensuring better data integrity. The change was documented and tracked through a dedicated commit, reflecting a targeted effort to address usability and data validation within the application’s user interface.
