Kristjan Poder contributed to the EZoni/WarpX repository by addressing a diagnostic accuracy issue in the LabFrameFieldDiagnostic component, specifically correcting the handling of rho_<species> diagnostics within PicMI integrations. Using Python and leveraging strong debugging skills, Kristjan’s work prevented incorrect plots in BackTransformed workflows, directly improving the reliability of simulation outputs. In addition to the bug fix, Kristjan enhanced the project’s documentation, clarifying the usage of the Simulation class’s add_diagnostic and add_interaction members to support field ionization workflows. This combination of targeted debugging and documentation updates improved both the usability and maintainability of the codebase for future contributors.
